The plan provides that, following a one-year period of service and in the event of a disability due to illness or a non-work-related injury, an employee is eligible to receive a portion of his/her salary once a waiting period has been met and/or available paid leave has been exhausted. There is a maximum of 90 days short-term disability leave duration per incident. Paid leave for pregnancy-related disability is treated the same as any other short-term disability.
We provide a smoke-free and tobacco-free workplace and grounds. Employees and dependents insured by the health insurance plan are eligible for smoking cessation assistance.
Employees and their families have 24-hour unlimited access to consultants by telephone, to resources and tools online, and up to three face-to-face visits with counselors for help with short-term problems at work or home.
